would love to ;) always been an interest of mine since AI.
afterall, one of my few efforts in "organized vlogging" was node666. :) i also laugh when i think back to 1994 when i came up with an idea called "webracer" which would lead people on a path to find one single web page on the net.... the end page. along the way, you had to solve crossword puzzles (using a client-side crowsswords app i found) in order to proceed by getting hints or direct links to a new page... or 2 links where you pick one to follow like a maze path. the crosswords in each puzzle would all be embedded in other "sponsor" pages, enticing users to visit and sift through these sites to more quickly solve the puzzles. adding in banner ads and all that along the way.... i thought it was pretty genius. i know i have an old college notebook around with babble on this webracer idea somewhere LOL. was pissed off that webracer.com was taken by some racecar fanatic at the time. needed to pay the crossword puzzle app people money to synch it up to the project etc... needed to build the maze of sites and get sponsors on board and so on. it never happened beyond some very rough examples and scribblings throughout my psychology101 notebook. hey it was college days and any number of things ended up distracting me away from the idea. (can you guess?). looking back.... it was likely to fail anyways because it was.... too ahead of its time. i think. maybe if i pitched it perfectly and gotten a few businesses on board... it would roll. but what about players? and a prize? and i remember researching legal issues back then with things like lotteries and prizes (yes i was researching it all the way through instead of studying for tests). so i needed lawyers and contracts written up. i mean, i was going to casinos to try and make money for rent at the time. so... yeah. discouraging. but i could have tried harder. and drank less. wasnt really an ARG... i didnt have a storyline or anything... just a maze, puzzles, sponsors/ads and a mysterious end page. 1 of millions of web pages... somewhere out there. and a mystery prize. ARGish! ok, someone go try my idea today. then paypal me if it works ;) sull On 08 Mar 2007 12:41:25 -0800, Eric Rice <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Oo, sull, you're paying attention to the ARG space?
