Though I think for the most part Jan is talking a particular breed of film makers. They're probably well established... have busy day jobs... and maybe they just have an outlet for their film making and don't feel the need to blog. It is true that people with an established profession are much less likely to experiment with new media. I think you might well say that vlogging is a scrappy bunch of entreprenurial types.
