Depends what sort of HD you mean. If you mean HDV, its the same as DV, because you can capture the same length of footage on the same amount of tape. I think it works out about 13GB for 60 mins footage on HDV and DV.
But some video editing packages will convert the HDV to a different format than mpeg2 whilst importing, so they end up taking up more disk space. I dont know anything about other HD camera formats such as devices that record to disk not tape. Meanwhile the size of HD footage that available on the web varies greatly. Bitrate chosen during encoding will determine filesize, just like with vloggers lower resolution clips. And if you are talking about 1080i or 1080P high def, rather than 720P, it would typically need a higher bitrate to look good. The Apple HD samples page gives good filesize info for the various versions they have available, once you click ona specific vid: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/ Cheers Steve Elbows --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], "Josh Leo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Can anyone tell me what the filesize per minute for HD footage is? > > > -- > Josh Leo > > www.JoshLeo.com > www.WanderingWestMichigan.com > www.SlowLorisMedia.com > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
