A video we posted about a guy who hassled us at a wedding in February was found by the guy in a random google search. Turns out he's a Boston DJ at WBCN, featured the vlog on his show and encouraged his listeners to leave comments ( we were unmoderated at the time)on our site. We got about 180 messages of hate: against women, gay people, it was pretty awful. I deleted most of them, keeping the more intelligent ones up, even if they didn't agree with us. But the damage was done. We're now moderating, which was kind of a sad moment in my video blogging experience. That I now have to do that. Not only is the internet a window, it's also a mirror to the offline world, not always in a good way.
Anyway, here's the post: http://videopancakes.blogspot.com/2007/02/tapping-glass.html <http://videopancakes.blogspot.com/2007/02/tapping-glass.html> --- In [email protected], "Michael Verdi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > My quick observations: > When Dylan got a lot of publicity she also got a handful of the worst > threatening and explicit comments.
