The Farmer's Daughter was a great cheap sleep years ago - my favorite place to stay in LA. But it looks like its been renovated, as have the prices - if not for the address I'd barely recognize it from the web site. The new version appears charming but it may not be the economical oasis it once once.
But then I'm one of those cheapsters who thinks $100 a night rooms in Midtown Manhattan are a splurge, so take it with a grain of salt. Hollywood and West Hollywood are great places to stay because you don't have to get in the &#^$& car just to get a cup of coffee or a bite to eat or oodles of other things. They are actual pedestrian-accessible urban neighborhoods. Brook _______________________________________________________ Brook Hinton film/video/audio art www.brookhinton.com
