Well m4v's are usually set to be opened by itunes rather than quicktime.

Some people rename their .m4v files to .mp4 as this is more of a
standard extension, and the m4v files are really mp4's anyway.

But I think you also have a problem with your server setup - the
mimetype on your server is not set for .m4v files, so your server
doesnt tell the browser that its a video file. Im not sure where there
is a great guide on the internet to explain this problem and how to
fix it, hopefully someone else can help. Or rename your files to .mp4
before you upload them. But its also possible that your server isnt
setup with the correct mime type for .mp4's either, wont know till you
try.
