Hey all, I was monkeying around with iMovie, trying to see what was up with all the 'new standards' and such.
Needless to say, I lost my settings that i was using for nice 640x480 export of 29.97 footage. I got major interlacing. So... I'm wondering if deinterlace is a default setting on iMovie. I turned it off for the last vid, and the artifacts were HORRIBLE. It all started when I tried to set up a DV widescreen movie, which totally stunk as well. Locking up video after 3 hour encode! Painful... So if there is a trick to that, that'd be cool to know as well. Any answers, links, tips, etc would be appreciated.
