I went the DIY route. I had a walking stick and attached an adjustable ball head from a very cheap mini tripod. I can simply unthread the head to have a regular walking stick, but I normally just leave it attached. Cost for cheap tripod = $5.00 Cost for stick = FREE Cost of a monopod with style = Priceless.
