here here :-) at moments like this it is valuable to remember that: wordpress is free rss was developed for free apache (the thing that runs most webservers) is free and so on. most of the software infrastructure that has made all of this possible has come from a culture that values the sharing of knowledge (like this list). It is largely publicly funded (research grants, universities). It is a common good.
