Have you tried modifying the ID3 tags in the actual file before uploading it?
We bring the file into iTunes, then "Get Info", then add in title, author, year, notes, etc. and save. Then right-click on the file in iTunes to "Show in Finder" and rename that file to a URL-friendly name, and upload that version.
