I have seen that problem when switching back and forth between a mac and a
PC. The files on my Xacti's SD card seem to be gone on the Mac - but when I
check the card on my PC, there are greyed-out "ghost" files - that take up
real space. So I delete those.

It doesn't happen all the time...
