We have several faculty who are fond of the nine-VHS history series
produced by Mastervision. It is not available on DVD at this point. The
producer did say he would make a set for us for about $1000 but it would
not be anything fancy. I am envisioning a very expensive DVD-R with no
cases. I gathered they would consider doing a real DVD version if there
was enough interest. Is anyone else an owner of this series and is there
any pressure from your faculty to get the new format?

On the other hand, if we can't get this in DVD, I would be interested in
suggestions for another similar series on American history that you
might recommend. Perhaps we can move the faculty to look at something
else!

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
