Greetings from the soggy, rainy mountains, Apologies for any X-duplication.
I'm doing some research on institutional repositories and how they handle video materials. Here are a few questions I need some help with: 1. What IR vendor/software do you use (BePress, dSPACE, others)? 2. What has buy-in from your faculty been like with your IR? 3. What kinds of policies/strategies can you suggest for rights management on video content? Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide. Best wishes, -- Tammy Ravas Visual and Performing Arts Librarian and Media Coordinator Assistant Professor Mansfield Library University of Montana Ph: 406-243-4402 E-mail: [email protected] Subject Guides: http://libguides.lib.umt.edu/content.php?pid=2987 Blog: http://content.lib.umt.edu/finearts/ VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
