Hello everyone. As some of you may have heard, St Louis Public Library is
closing our Central branch this Saturday for a two year renovation project.
This is our biggest renovation yet, and we are very excited. To capture the
changes Central Library will undergo, we are interested in having a
filmmaker(s) produce a documentary about the project. However, our greatest
concern is that while it may seem simple enough for us to say, "This is an
amazing project, please make a documentary of it," we need to create a list of
criteria and requirements to ensure quality. Those of you who work in
institutions which have had major renovations, was there a documentary made,
and if so, are you aware of the requirements your filmmakers had to adhere to?
Any information you can provide would be of help to us. And if you have a RFP
that you could send as a sample, that will really assist with our project.
Thanks for your time.

Know Better

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
