I am sorry it has taken so long. I am so consumed by the Haiti situation, I don't know when and if I will get my old life back. Anyway here is a list of some really good films by Haitian and non Haitian filmmakers that really tops my lists. Some I have programmed at various film series. I am also sending it out to the listserv in case anyone else may be interested.

One of the first full length films to be made in Haiti by a Haitian filmmaker is Anita by Rasoul Labuchin you should definitely get your hands on a copy.

Gospel of the Creole pig by Michelange Quay young Haitian-American director who now lives in France. His feature Eat for this is my body is worth showing (very artsy avant guarde film).

You should also contact Frantz Voltaire at CIDHICA in Canada, he makes educational historical films about Haiti that are worth showing. He also produced Potopres se panm on the urban catastrophe that Port- au-Prince had become throughout the years. by Rigoberto Lopez a Cuban director.

preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and 
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
