Well, they make great containers for small craft items - beads, etc.,
Also, jewelry for travel, fishing things, sewing notions, . . .  Don't
laugh - years ago in our booksale, our director had us sell the original
clamshell cases for videos since we put them in our own cases.  We
racked our brains to come up with some things that they could be used
for.  As an aside - you know those heavy canvas banners that cities put
up on the light poles for celebrations?  - tape together for shower
curtains, use under your sleeping bags when camping out, use as a slip
n' slide in the summer.  Yes, we had those, too!  And, people bought
them!  I don't know if they bought the idea, or felt sorry for us.
