Hi PPR gurus,
I think I know the answer to this, but would like to confirm. We
purchased Lagos Wide and Close from a bookstore and didn't get
information one way or another about screening rights. In these
cases, do we need to assume we don't have PPR, and therefore can't
screen it outside the classroom (per TEACH) without getting express
permission from the publisher? And it would be the publisher, not
the bookstore, right?
Thanks,
Janice

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
