Well let's just say it certainly SOUNDS like something a US company would buy. Keep in mind it usually takes time for a deal to be struck and the film to open here. You might as well ask Gaumont anyway. Realistically though I don't see how you can expect to even find a copy anytime soon. Looks like it was just released in Europe. I suspect you will have to tell the professor to wait a bit.
