Well, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that there aren't all that
many German Shakespeare adaptation at all (at least few available on vhs
or DVD)

In fact the ONLY few I know are

Kebab Connection (Germany, 2005)

Kirac. A young Turkish hip-hopper dreams of making the first German
kung-fu film, and he hones his craft by making an extremely successful

a flop, his German girfriend tells him she is pregnant, and his
parents kick him out of the house, he gives in to the temptations of
the rival Greek restaurant owner across the street and agrees to make
a commercial for his uncle's worst enemy. Based loosely on
Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. 96 min

The Merry Wives of Windsor (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor) (East
Germany, 1950) Directed by Georg Wildhagen.

Othello (Germany, 1922)
Director Dimitri Buchowetzki. Cast: Emil Jannings, Werner Krauss, Lya de
Putti.
