Hello all,
A professor wants to sponsor a public showing of Barbara Ettinger's "Two
Square Miles."

Our library has a 95-minute DVD, purchased in 2007 from Niiji Films for
$19.95. At that price, I rather doubt that it has public performance rights.

I found that Filmakers Library sells a DVD with the same title and
director, for $295, which would include PPR; but their version is only
52 minutes.

To get a licensed version, we could buy or rent the short version from
Filmakers Library. However, if the professor insists on showing the
95-minute version, does anyone know where I can get info about licensing
our library's DVD?

Thanks in advance,
Marilyn Huntley

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
