Hi, everyone, We are going to be reading Seabiscuit for our Fox Valley Reads this year. For some of the programs, we're showing the movie, plus the Marx Brothers' A Day at the Races. We would also like to show some newsreels from the time - just like going to the movies in the good old days. How are newsreel rights covered? I know that a lot of the titles issued from the 1930s and 1940s have newsreels on them, but can they be shown separately from the movie? Or what about a title of newsreels in general? This is just a public showing - no educational face to face. I'm not sure where to go on getting permissions on this. Thanks!
