One of the used ones on Amazon is from a "fulfillment by Amazon" vendor, which
means it will come directly from Amazon. Would you be allowed to buy that one,
since it's virtually the same as ordering from Amazon?

Ebay has copies:
http://dvd.shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=thin+blue+line+morris&_sacat=11232
  as does buy.com: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=40713840

Can you purchase from those sites? Or is the prohibition against used copies
as opposed to second-hand dealers?

...The Errol Morris version, not Mr. Bean...Anyone know where I can get it? Not
at Amazon, not at Baker &Taylor, not at Midwest. I am not allowed to buy from
vendors through Amazon. Any help would be appreciated...jen

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
