I think you could get it from amazon japan
(http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/offer-listing/B000197HTW/ref=dp_olp_0ie=UTF8&redirect=true&condition=all)
 but you might need someone who reads Japanese to help you navigate the website!

Subject: [Videolib] need help finding hard-to-locate video

Dear Videolib,

I'm hoping someone can help me find a vendor for the 1994 Chinese movie In the
Heat of the Sun (Yang guang can lan de ri zi is), directed by Wen Jiang.
WorldCat shows that about 37 libraries own this DVD/video, but even after
tracking it using the ISBN(s) from one cataloging record
(8868956586<http://tiger.coloradocollege.edu/search/i?8868956586&startLimit=&searchscope=5&SORT=D&endLimit=>;

9788868956585<http://tiger.coloradocollege.edu/search/i?8868956586&startLimit=&searchscope=5&SORT=D&endLimit=>),
 and the distributor from another (Cinefil Imagica), I'm still coming up empty
handed.

I'll greatly appreciate any leads, and thanks for your help!

Best,

Daryl Alder

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
