Actually, the Yesasia link below refers to the series "Heat of the Sun" that
was on PBS's "Mystery":

http://www.amazon.com/Boxed-Private-Lives-Plain-Sight/dp/B0001WTUK8

Too bad a U.S. distributor like Kino or Koch Lorber hasn't picked up the Jiang
Wen film, since it's a major work of Chinese cinema.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of
issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic
control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in
libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve
as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel
of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video
producers and distributors.

Chris,
We received permission to transfer our copy of True West from VHS to
DVD. We contacted Joan Candee, Executive Assistant to Harold A. Thau (
[email protected] ).
Hope this helps,
Gail
