I will add something too - I know we (the NFB) have had trouble with generating
MARC records but, very soon, these will be available with LC Subject headings
and correct credit information on the nfb.ca site for subscribing libraries.

Glad to hear positive feedback for the image quality.

Objet : Re: [Videolib] question about National Film Board of Canada

May I add something about quality of the NFB streamed image? The films
absolutely hold their own blown up to a 63" 1080i plasma. Therefore, they will
look good in a classroom situation unlike some other streaming sites where
going full screen on a laptop looks dreadful. The NFB has been at this for many
years starting with their pilot Cineroute project 10 years ago, and they're
continuing to lead the way.

Hola Cindy and others:

Most of us in academic libraries in Canada, certainly in British Columbia, have
purchased this license.
Streaming can ONLY be done from the NFB site.
They continually add to the collection. We have added every single English
title to our Milennium catalogue,
There are 721 titles in our catalog. http://tinyurl.com/64d3vzf
You can browse our catalogue to see how we did it. Our Systems Technician
subscribes to their RSS
of new titles, and when they are announced,he adds the new titles to our
holdings.

Dear Wisdom,

Have any of you purchased a license for the streaming collection of the NFB?
If so? Have you done it hosting the collection? Or by them hosting it?

I have been looking at it and would like to know who has purchased it?

Thanks
Cindy
