35mm can be exceedingly hard but I suspect the Yellow Earth print was
around but no was admitting it. As for BLOOD SIMPLE , I know where some old
prints of the original version could be had.

I think it is much more frustrating and hard to comprehend when you go
looking for a film released and still owned by a major studio in the last 6
years and they have nothing and the further back it goes the less they have.
At this point only Universal really cares or does anything in terms of 35mm
rental library.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
