Dear Collective Wisdom,

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of further information on the
following film?

The title is Fog. The series of films is Aerology. According to our catalog
as well as other research I've done on the title, this particular film series
was produced by Walt Disney for the U.S. Navy in WWII. Here is our catalog
record:

http://catalog.lib.umt.edu/vwebv/search?searchArg=fog+motion+picture&searchCode=TALL&limitTo=LOCA%3DMissoula%3A+All+UM+Missoula+Campuses&recCount=20&searchType=1&page.search.search.button=Search

I'm most interested in learning if Disney is the rights holder or if it would
be in the public domain since it was the Navy who contracted with Disney to
produce this series. If anyone can check one of the print versions of the LoC
Catalog of Copyright Entries for 1943 and 1948, that would be helpful too;
Google's scans of the Catalog haven't been too helpful.

Many thanks in advance.

Best wishes,
--

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
