One suggestion I may have is to find another French film from the 1920s that fits the bill. One would be Herbier's L'Argent that's available from Masters of Cinema in England. I don't remember the fashions at all, but it stars Brigitte Helm and I am very positive they must have dressed her in the latest fashions. You don't bring in a big star and dress her in rags. And the review photos suggest this: http://www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/dvd_reviews.php?film_id=15519

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
