This is basically what we have also done here at USC with a number of
films that have been released together in both DVD and BluRay formats--
including *The Tree of Life*, *Barney's Version*, etc. Our policy is
essentially
is not to collect films in BluRay, but when when these double format
versions
provide the only access to obtaining a film in DVD, some compromise
seems to be called for.
Cheers,
Anthony

Hi Becky,
We just got this in. We added the DVD version to the collection and
stored the BluRay since we don't collect them either - not enough call
for them. We put a hidden note in our catalog about splitting up the
group.

Hi, all,
We have gotten a few requests for this in the last few months, but since we do
not collect Blu-Ray at this time, we have not purchased it. However, there are
some libraries in WorldCat that seem to have this on DVD. Also, Amazon is
listing it as a DVD Rental Ready. Is this the DVD that came with the Blu-Ray
combo pack initially, and libraries maybe split the package up? I don't see
anything about extras on the DVD entries for World Cat. Thanks!

relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,

working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
