Gee, thanks, Jessica. Though as a fairly diligent archivist who actually is known for finding lost films, I believe the term loser is actually more readily suggested to a particular team of Mr. Cartwright's beloved sport of rounders in the midwest. In fact, one current commercial advertises as such. One really doesn't need the OCLC to find them. :-)
Who knew when Carl Sandburg wrote the line "Butcher for the World" that he was referring to the Wrigley infielders? Or those same whimsical chaps who Billie Shakespeare was considering when he wrote (in the unexpurgated version): "To err is human, to err twice in an inning is a child of a bear cursed by the gods and a goat." Anyone else would like to rag about Mets fans while I'm on painkillers? :-) Dennis On Tue, Oct 16, 2012 at 3:10 PM, Jessica Rosner <[email protected]>wrote: > But I trust librarians to do a more thorough check then me but it does > appear there is indeed a copy in the southwest. VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
