Why is it the film a professor wants to screen - in less than two weeks - is
always the most difficult thing on earth to track down?

Chikere Tchidi's WORLD APART is the one this time.

IMDbPro lists Sunny Collins Production [sic] and Great Movies Ind. Ltd.
(Nigeria) as production companies. No contact information for either. Google
search yields a company that purports to be in the crude palm oil business.
Facebook searches yield too many results for the two gentlemen and an inactive
page for Sunny Collins Production. Worldcat indicates ONE library owning this
DVD, in Australia.

Anybody have any tips or suggestions beyond these steps?

Merci,
Susan

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
