For those of you who are not already familiar with it… check out the Lannan
Foundation http://www.lannan.org/

The Lannan Foundation is a family foundation dedicated to cultural freedom,
diversity and creativity through projects which support exceptional
contemporary artists and writers, as well as inspired Native activists in rural
indigenous communities. The site provides access to 15 years of audio and
video recordings from live events and interviews with notable authors,
scholars, and activists. The site also provides @450 brief biographies. There
are separate search interfaces for biographies, audio files, and videos. More
recordings are included on the foundations podcast site, which is available for
subscription via iTunes.

I've added this to my Streaming Video LibGuide

I chanced on the site while weeding my VHS collection. We have in excess of 70
VHS tapes from the foundation.

And as for the weeding: 1542 VHS videos, from a collection of @9000 removed
over the past month, ALL duplicated in the collection in DVD or VHS in another
of the libraries.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
