Howdy everyone.

Has anyone had any experience using or evaluating the NBC Learn product? I
would love to hear what you think. It's got about 14000 clips of NBC news
items. There are transcripts and decent metadata (although I'm not sure about
MARC records). I'm doing a trial on this product right now but it seems to me
it might be more appropriate for high schools or community colleges. Here's
some more information:

"For more than 80 years, NBC News has been documenting the people, places, and
events that have shaped our world. Now, for the first time, NBC Learn is making
these historic and current events resources available to faculty, instructional
technologists, course designers, librarians, and students.

NBC Learn is a rich, dynamic, and innovative resource that provides thousands
of historic news reports, current events stories, original content, primary
source documents, and other digital media specifically designed to help teach
and engage students of all levels and abilities.

Through an annual site subscription, NBC Learn Higher Ed provides an easy,
affordable, and effective way to infuse technology and digital media into 21st
century learning. NBC Learn Higher Ed also integrates with Blackboard
Learn(tm)."

Thanks for any insight,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
