We invite you to participate in our independent research on academic library 
streaming video.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes.  You can preview all questions 
before taking the survey.

This is the first large-scale survey to examine academic library collections, 
expenditures, staffing, access, and delivery as they relate to streaming video. 
 Survey results will provide baseline data and inform planning and development 
of streaming video in academic libraries.
Even if your library or institution does not currently stream video your 
response is valuable and contributes to the baseline data.

We plan to present preliminary results at the 2013 Charleston Conference and 
the 2013 Consortium of College & University Media Centers conference.
The survey is confidential.  The names  of participating institutions will be 
reported  in survey results, but all data will be aggregated.  No data will be 
presented for individuals or specific institutions.

Survey respondents are eligible for a random drawing to receive one of several 
free registrations (all three will be awarded):

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues 
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, 
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and 
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective 
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication 
between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and 
distributors.
