Hello,

I had posted some time ago about information on Wowza, which one of the many
media servers available. I have now since looked into Sharestream, Helix, and
Adobe. If anyone has had any personal experience with the ones listed or
others, I would greatly appreciate any information that you can share. One
particular problem that I am encountering is finding a server that accommodates
all file types such as an MPEG Audio file, so if anyone has experience with
effective ripping software to prepare files for the server, I would also love
to hear about that as well.

Thank you,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
