FYI Press release from Alexander Street Press posted to the LIBLICENSE
discussion list earlier today.

Note Moderator's comment.

There are no patron-driven acquisition models for media out thereÅ
(Arizona university libraries piloted a PDA model with FMG, that
eventually evolved into their very successful subscription product. There
were no subscription models for media at the time.) This comes very close
to PDA, and demonstrates that the delivery of streaming video is evolving,
and new, additional models have yet to appear.

Thumbs up to ASP.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
