Hi Collective Wise Ones:
We have many photography documentaries on vhs--and we need to replace them on
dvd, if possible.
Does anyone know of sources for the following?
Fire in the East: A Portrait of Robert Frank
Henri Cartier-Bresson? (documentary co-directed by Sara Moon--not on the recent
2-disc DVD)
A Life in the Day of Man Ray
Mary Ellen Mark: The Searching Eye
Portrait of Imogen
Wegman's World

If these titles are truly not available on DVD any where, who thinks it would
be fair use to make DVD copies, in light of the fact that our IT dept. has
removed the vhs decks from most classrooms. grrrrr . . .

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
