Greetings everyone,

We have a VHS copy of Ken Jacobs's Tom Tom the Piper's Son and I've been asked
to get a DVD copy. EAI<http://eai.org/titleOrderingFees.htm?id=8382#terms> has
it listed for a completely ridiculous $700 but there is a listing on
Amazon<http://www.amazon.com/Tom-Pipers-Son-Chaser-Home/dp/B001H9ML9G/ref=pd_bxgy_d_img_c>
claiming to be self-published by Jacobs of exactly the same thing for only
$30. There are only 5 libraries with holdings in WorldCat. I'm wondering if
anyone out there has any thoughts on whether this amazon copy is legit or not.

Thanks in advance!
-lisa H.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
