No problem. I kind of enjoy trying to track things down but in general if it is a silent film you don't see in the obvious places searching the FIAF database is the best place to start. In general though I would ask anyone who requests a silent film if they do have any information that it does exist and if not good idea to explain to them that the odds of existing are remote and the odds of existing and being available in say DVD are REALLY remote. Sorry just a pet peeve that students and professors often do not understand that the vast majority of silent films are lost.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
