Thanks, Chris! I just want to add that this is AMIA's first Supplier Directory -- the organization is constantly trying to figure out how best to serve the community and this directory came from those efforts. The list of suppliers will keep getting larger and larger as people hear about it. (Milestone can't be in it since I'm on the Board until November and I have my ethics -- as does AMIA.)
AMIA also has the free listserv for specific questions like, "Where is there a film or video lab that does 8mm in my area?" and they have a professional office in Los Angeles where they can answer questions. It's worth becoming a member! VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
