I confess I totally missed the stories about the appeal hearing in the Georgia State Copyright case which was held in November of last year. I don't think it was posted here but I apologize if it was. Here is the article from Publishers Weekly which also has a link to the Kevin Smith at Duke's write up. At least based on this it does not look very good for Georgia State. There is no timeline for the actual decision April marked SEVEN years since this case was initially filed. Again if this was already posted I did not see it.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
