An instructor has suggested we purchase this collection of alternative video
produced by a San Francisco collective in the 1970's. Titles include Lord of
the Universe, Adland, and a bunch of others. It appears to me that they are
only available as files that we can download and stream.
Has anyone purchased the collection in this format?
If so, where do the files reside? On the Library server?
We've never purchased a title as an HD file before.
Any other issues we should consider?
Maureen

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
