We also place these materials in our Library Archives, which is the University Archives. For those titles where we have permissions, we place them on our portal so that anyone can view. We have a Commons area of videos on NJVID.net. Anyone can watch these titles.

We've inherited media from all over the university and need to decide which department it is best suited for. I realize there are many factors that affect this, but I'm curious what everyone is doing. VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
