Warner Bros are the gods of making films available. SHOWBOAT has some materials issues which is why it was not out before. Having run through much of their own library they are now getting hundreds of titles from other studios who don't care that much about their old titles and even less about releasing them on DVD.
As a side note they are also the only studio that aggressively removes pirate copies online and pirate sellers. If you see a pirate seller you will often notice they have tons of Fox, Universal etc but not WB though of course they can only catch a fraction of them.
