Hello everyone,

I usually don't end up needing to do this since we normally rent videos for
showings with public performance rights but I have a colleague who wants to
show an "I Love Lucy" episode for her church group and she wants to obtain
the proper permissions (which I applaud and so I'm happy to help in any way
I can!)

I'm searching through quite a few sources at the moment but I wanted to
start here and see if anyone can point me in the right direction of either
a vendor who sells/rents either boxed sets or streaming of individual Lucy
episodes (and I warned my colleague that such videos will normally come
with a high price tag) with PPR or even the current rights holder of whom
my colleague might attempt to ask permission to show the video. I have not
had much luck finding I Love Lucy episodes with PPR, at least yet.

Thanks so much for any help that can be offered! Either responding here or
off list is fine with me.

Chris
VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
