As the person who started this discussion, I want to thank you all for taking part, and I now have a clearer idea of how other academic libraries deal with the issues. Doug and Elizabeth, you are certainly strong advocates for your principles, but guys . . . maybe take it down a notch. Access to Behind the Green Door is not going to make or break anyone's academic experience. I hope when we all meet up again in real life, at conferences, workshops, etc. that we can . . . well . . . get along. Maureen
VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
