This has occasionally happened with me - especially for book requests, when someone finds and utilizes our online request form. If I don't recognize the name (hey, we're a small campus!) or if the email address isn't a Wabash.edu one, I typically just email back, enquiring about the individual's relationship to our campus community. Often, that's the end of it right there. Amusingly, I've had a couple of women claim to be incoming freshmen. Wabash is all-male.

I'm wondering if any of you have heard from Angelina Zhang. I suspect this is a vendor's nom de plume, since I've never received an email like this from a freshman thinking ahead about their research and what films they'll require. I hope I'm wrong! Do you have "The Land of Many Palaces" about Ordos on DVD? I will need to study it in the fall.
