Friday, June 26, 2015 - 10:00am to 4:00pm Ninth St. Independent Film Center, 145 Ninth St. The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) is proud to lead this workshop on preserving, protecting and making audiovisual material accessible. This six hour workshop is attended for all interested, and no experience is required. Topics will include film and video preservation, digitization, and how to share 16mm film collections in classrooms of all ages. VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
