Our library will host a film series in March and we still have a few that need PPR clearance. It appears that the German language "Im Juli" (In July, 2004) might be an orphan work if I understand this term this correctly. I contacted Kino Lorber who then sent me to Entertainment One. No luck thus far.
Can our library still show the film without PPR clearance given that we tried to locate the rights holder? Lowell Lybarger VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
