ALA’s Video Round Table (VRT)<http://www.ala.org/vrt/> is currently accepting 
program proposals for the 2017 ALA Annual Conference, June 22-27 in Chicago, 
Illinois.

Thinking about attending the ALA Annual Conference, June 22-27 2017 in Chicago? 
Have you worked on any projects or activities involving film or video at your 
institution?
The ALA Video Round Table Program Committee (VRT) welcomes program proposals 
for ALA Annual on just about anything related to video and libraries! The term 
video includes moving picture media in all of its forms - DVDs, streaming, 
video tapes, video art, YouTube videos, animation, iPhone shot footage, etc.
Proposals are due August 31, 2016.
Sample ideas (but we very much welcome others):

Have you offered special film programming/events at your library?
Have you made library promotional videos?
Have you developed video tutorials or are you using film clips (or gifs) in 
instruction?
Are you involved with film or video preservation?
Have you created a filmmaking studio for your patrons?
Are you doing anything interesting with your video collections?
Are you finding new ways to promote films to your community?
Does your archive collect or create video histories?

The Program Committee will review all proposals and notify participants of 
proposal acceptance by Sept. 21, 2016.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues 
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, 
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and 
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective 
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication 
between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and 
distributors.
